How are we doing?

The Trust has a statutory requirement to provide important data on how long it takes for people to be seen by a specialist, receive a diagnosis and get treated for cancer.

 

From October 2023, Royal Surrey is expected to ensure:

 

•   75 per cent of patients receive a diagnosis or are given the all-clear within 28 days of being referred for urgent cancer checks by a GP, screening programme or other route.

 

•   96 per cent of patients should start their first cancer treatment or subsequent treatments within 31 days of a specialist deciding they need it.

 

• 85 per cent of patients should start their first treatment within 62 days of receiving their referral for urgent cancer checks.
