Each of our six clinical divisional champion awards recognise individuals and teams that consistently demonstrate exceptional commitment to patient-centred care, through empathy, communication and respect. They collaborate with colleagues, innovate for improvement and put their patients at the heart of all they do. Here’s what their colleagues wrote about them in the nominations.

She sets high standards for herself and role models that for those she leads. If there is a difficult conversation to be had, Claudette does not shy away from what needs to be said. She remains firm, collaborative and good humoured in an environment which often requires patience and resilience.
She manages record attendances in ED with consummate professionalism alongside improvements in patient triage that has simplified patient flow as well as the fit-out for the new Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) location. It has been another incredible year in the life of our ED service, with no small thanks to Claudette.

She shows unwavering commitment to her role and goes beyond expectations, not just making sure her patients are safe but also that they are engaged and happy in what can be a stressful and unfamiliar environment for them.
She places a huge value on patients' well-being and nursing staff know they can go about their jobs in the knowledge that patients are being well cared for.
