First appointment
Your first appoint will normally be in the Consultant Led Clinic. Your doctor will normally be accompanied by your clinical nurse specialist (CNS). Find out more about your first appointment.
Surgery
If you are having surgery you will have a Pre-Operative appointment. You will also have a follow up with the surgeon post-surgery. Read more about cancer surgery at Royal Surrey.
Pre-habilitation
Your consultant may refer you for a course of exercise to improve your physical fitness, along with educational and wellbeing support, in preparation for surgery. You will be contacted by the Physiotherapy Department to arrange it. Discover more about pre-habilitation.
Medical team review
During treatment you will have a weekly review by your medical team. This is your opportunity to raise any concerns or flag any effects of treatment that you may be experiencing.At these appointments you will see a member of your medical team. Blood tests
During treatment you will need weekly blood tests. If you are having chemotherapy these blood tests will need to take place prior to receiving treatment. Find out more about blood tests and book your next appointment.
