The Fountain Centre is an independent charity based in Royal Surrey Cancer Centre. They are here to look after the wellbeing of anyone affected by cancer, from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond. They do this by offering a range of complementary therapies, lifestyle services (e.g. yoga, exercise and meditation), psychological support and information/signposting.
At the Fountain Centre, they know how challenging a cancer diagnosis can be. They understand the importance of being able to offer evidence-based wellbeing support that can positively impact the mind, body and spirit of cancer patients and their loved ones. Their services can also help patients cope better with symptoms caused by cancer and/or cancer treatment. In addition, they have a lovely non-clinical space in the hospital with a well stacked library, where you can simply come along, sit down and relax.
As a charity partner of the Royal Surrey Cancer Service, they are able to work collaboratively with your medical and nursing team. This ensures that whatever services they provide, they do so in tandem with your medical care. They also believe that the care they offer needs to be holistic and personalised. This means that everyone who visits the Fountain Centre is assessed on an individual basis, and the services they offer are tailored to support your needs at that time.
