Paediatric Gastroenterology
Paediatric Gastroenterology
Management and Support of children and young people with gastroenterology issues. We provide:
- General paediatric gastroenterology clinics (consultant delivered).
- Coeliac multi-disciplinary clinics, where consultants and dietitians work together with patients and their families to support them in managing their condition.
- Tertiary joint gastroenterology clinics, led by Dr Hanci, Dr Njenga and Dr Batra (visiting Paediatric Gastroenterologist), a paediatric gastroenterology clinical nurse specialist and a dietitian.
- Transition gastroenterology clinics, led by Dr Hanci, Dr Njenga and Dr Banks (Adult Gastroenterologist), an adult inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) clinical nurse specialist, Dr Batra (visiting paediatric gastroenterologist), a paediatric gastroenterology clinical nurse specialist and a dietitian.
How to access the service?
We take referrals from GPs and other hospital services.
Who is eligible for the service?
Children and adolescents up to the age of 18.

- Dr Ozan Hanci, Paediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease Lead and Consultant Paediatrician with Special Interest (SPIN) accreditation in paediatric gastroenterology hepatology and nutrition.
- Dr Natasha Njenga, Consultant Paediatrician with interest in Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition.
