Treatment locations

Care closer to home

Main entrance of Frimley Park Hospital

There are also chemotherapy day units at:

  •  Frimley Park Hospital (pictured)
  • Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Trust
  • Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust.

Some patients can therefore choose to be treated in smaller units, closer to home.

The day units are all open from 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

Royal Surrey Cancer Centre

Chilworth Day Unit.

Chilworth Day Unit is divided into bays, with approximately 10 chairs. There will always be a nurse in the bay, throughout the treatment to ensure help and support is close by.

During your treatment, you are able to get up and move around the unit. There are free tea and coffee making facilities. There are also toilet facilities available on the unit.

The day unit is open from 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday. Additionally, it also opens on a Saturday from 9am to 6pm.

Mobile unit

Chemotherapy mobile unit.

We have a mobile treatment unit that travels between sites in Woking and Horsham, where you can be treated. Please ask your medical team about this.

Speak to your doctor and clinical nurse specialist if you would like to find out more.
