Colleagues working in a variety of roles across the Trust have been recognised for their outstanding contributions to research.
Thirteen individuals and teams were recognised by the Research Support Awards, which are run annually by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).
The awards are designed to recognise people who don’t work directly in research delivery, but provide essential support to research activities.
Teams nominated at Royal Surrey are the ICU Team, Chilworth Day Unit, the Outpatient Eye Clinic, the ePrescribing Team, and the ENT Outpatients Team.

Our Chief Executive, Louise Stead, said:
“Research is essential to the future of healthcare, and it is wonderful to see so many of our colleagues actively supporting the clinical research we deliver as a Trust.
“Supporting research shows that, as a Trust, we are focussed on improving lives today and into the future. I’d like to take this opportunity thank everyone who has contributed to research over the last year, and in particular those recognised in these NIHR Awards.”
