Congratulations to our dedicated and hard-working Medical Illustration (Photography) team who have achieved national quality assurance recognition.
The Institute of Medical Illustrators (IMI) have recognised the team as meeting both Level 1 and 2 of their Quality Assurance Standards (QAS). The team joins 23 other departments in the country who have Level 1 and only eight who have Level 2.
Following a rigorous quality audit on the service, which took place last October, IMI auditors praised the team saying that they clearly work very hard to run an efficient department and meet all of the criteria.
The team provides a valuable clinical photography service to a wide range of specialties across the Trust and achieving QAS Levels 1 and 2 confirms its organisational excellence.
Ashley Prytherch, Medical Illustration Manager, said: “It’s great to get this recognition of our work. We had to meet a wide range of requirements and there were only a few recommendations for further work to be done, so it’s no mean feat. I’m extremely proud of the way the department is run and the efforts of the team.”
