A group of 40 nursing staff have been celebrating the completion of their Preceptorship at a ceremony held on 28 November in the Education Centre.
Certificates and badges were handed out by Tamsin Enticknap-Green, Deputy Director of Nursing and Multidisciplinary Education.
Preceptorship marks the period when newly registered practitioners are supported to build confidence and competence as they transition to autonomous professionals. Staff were congratulated on their achievement and hard work.
Alison Oram, Preceptorship Lead and Senior Practice Development Sister, said: “You should all be really proud of what you have achieved as I know how hard it can be out there. Many of you completed the preceptorship programme at a time when you had recently moved away from your families and were settling into a new culture and healthcare system. This is a wonderful achievement.”
A special tea party was organised afterwards where staff had the opportunity to celebrate their achievement together.
Nick Dawson, Head of Nursing for Education and Practice Development, said: “We are here to celebrate you and your success. Hopefully we can continue to support you going forward with the rest of your career and your professional development. Well done and congratulations.”
