There are currently 16 beds and two wards called Elizabeth and Godwin.
The wards benefit from a multi-disciplinary team including nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and healthcare assistants.
The beds are used for a variety of different conditions which do not need acute interventions such as those that can only be carried out in an acute hospital.
The age of patients who can use the beds is 18 years – 100+ years. The beds tend to be used by older adults as that is the group of people with complex needs and general fragility.
