About the condition
A stroke occurs when the blood flow to part of the brain is blocked or reduced, leading to brain cell damage. Ischemic strokes result from a clot, while haemorrhagic strokes involve bleeding in the brain. Both types cause various impairments, often requiring urgent medical attention.

Who is eligible for the service?
Patients eligible for our service will have suffered an Acute Stroke which requires inpatient treatment or ongoing specialist rehabilitation
How to access the service?
We take referrals from our partner hospital, Frimley Park.
