Ward’s winter wonderland makeover | News

Hascombe Paediatric Ward received a wonderful winter makeover this week, thanks to Tesco, in a bid to bring the Christmas spirit to the children and staff.

The children's ward has been gifted a Christmas tree, lights, and decorations, which have been placed around the entrance. The generosity did not stop there, as the staff were also given advent calendars, which will be handed out to our young patients just in time for the festive holiday.

In line with the winter theme, the patients hand painted the windows surrounding the ward, featuring snowman, trees, a ‘Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ mural, and more.

Suzanne Beckett, Hascombe Ward Clerk said: “It’s wonderful to see the ward now and it’s been a great form of therapy for the children and they can see their artwork displayed for Christmas too.”
