Three of our hard-working colleagues have been recognised by a national body.
Gwen Atkinson, Christine Beard and Sian Sallis, recently completed a self-assessment of the work experience they provide here at the Royal Surrey, and sent it to the Fair Train, the UK’s expert on work experience.
The self-assessment required collecting evidence to show that the work experience and apprenticeships that people can complete here at the Trust are always to a high standard and consistent.
The team discovered recently that, after all this work, they have been awarded a Bronze level Work Experience Quality Standard accreditation! This award is validated by national standards and demonstrates the high-quality of work experience and employability provision that is provided here.
Delighted with the accreditation, both Gwen Atkinson and Christine Beard said: “This is great news. We have something to show for all the work that goes in to work experience and career advice.”
Sian Sallis, from Surrey Heartlands, the local Integrated Care System (ICS) added: “Royal Surrey is the first organisation within Surrey Heartlands to receive this accreditation and having the standard demonstrates their commitment to encouraging young people to consider careers in the NHS and support learning.”
