Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is calling on members of the local community to nominate NHS professionals and teams from the Trust who have made a difference to them.

The Patients’ Choice award allows patients, visitors and carers to recognise and say “thank you” to a staff member or team who have delivered excellent care to them or a loved one. The Patients’ Choice award is one of 16 awards in the Royal Surrey Stars annual staff awards, which was postponed last year due to Covid-19, celebrating the contributions of Royal Surrey staff since the outbreak of the pandemic. All staff and teams across the hospital are eligible for the Patients’ Choice awards.

Sue Sjuve, Chair of the Trust, said: “Over the last two and a half years, our staff have experienced pressures and challenges unlike any other time in their careers. They continue to face enormous demands in their work, as we recover from the effects of the Covid pandemic.

“Our staff awards ceremony is an important way that we recognise the outstanding contribution, dedication and commitment made by both individuals and teams at the Trust. If you would like to thank a member of our team or a team who made a real difference to your lives or that of a loved one, please nominate them for our Patients’ Choice Award.”

Nominations are open now and members of the public can submit their nomination on the Royal Surrey website.

The deadline for nominations is 23:59 on Wednesday 14 September 2022.
