Congratulations to Mary Phillips, HPB Specialist Dietitian, and Lindsey Allan, Macmillan Oncology Dietitian, who have been shortlisted in the Complete Nutrition (CN) Awards 2022.
Mary is shortlisted for 'Outstanding Achievement of the Year' and Lindsey is shortlisted for 'CN Writer of the Year'.
Mary, who was the first non-medical President of the Pancreatic Society, and recently published the first UK guidelines on managing pancreatic exocrine insufficiency said: “I’ve been fortunate to be involved with NICE, a number of international guideline committees and the first ever Nutrition Pancreas Research Symposium of the Royal College of Surgeons taking place this month. We have been working hard to raise the profile of dietetics. It's an honour to be put forward for this award.”
Lindsey’s shortlisted article, which was well received by CN Magazine’s audience was about the dietary management of bowel obstruction. She said: “I have developed a four-stage diet for patients at risk of bowel obstruction and am currently running a research study looking at the effect this has on their symptoms and quality of life. It is a new area of dietetics and the article was to help provide some practical advice to other dietitians working in this challenging area."
If you would like to vote for Mary and Lindsey and are a healthcare worker, please go to the CN Website's Awards Page to vote.
CN is a bi-monthly magazine for nutrition health professionals and the awards recognise the achievements of those who have made a significant difference within the nutrition industry.
