Congratulations to Jack Teague, Medirest’s Logistics Portering Manager, who scooped Newcomer of the Year Award in the MyPorter awards.
The awards, hosted by GV Healthcare in association with NHS England, celebrate the best in NHS Portering Services across the country.
Jack joined the Trust a year ago and was instrumental in supporting Medirest colleagues with the introduction of Surrey Safe Care, which helps assign tasks to appropriate team members across the Trust.
He demonstrated excellent change management skills and went above and beyond to help with the transition to the new system. In addition, Jack has decided to work towards the national Portering Centre of Excellence (Exemplar) status for the Trust. Royal Surrey will become one of the first sites in the country to reach Exemplar status once this is completed, hopefully by the end of the year.
Stephen Munro, Contract Director for Medirest, said: “This award is thoroughly well deserved. Jack is a highly valued member of the team, always demonstrating great initiative and leadership skills. His contribution to the Trust since joining has been superb and his work is of a very high quality.”
Congratulations to the Medirest Cleaning Team who were shortlisted and runners up in the GV Healthcare MyCleaning Team Awards.
