Disruption to radiotherapy services
This afternoon we have declared a critical incident in our Radiotherapy Department due to the loss of our operating system. This is impacting both the Cancer Centre at Royal Surrey County Hospital and the unit we operate at Redhill.
Our teams are working hard to fix the issue but unfortunately we have had to cancel a number of planned appointments.
We have identified that this has been caused by a telecoms issue and we are working with our external provider to resolve this as soon as possible.
We will continue to contact all patients affected and will have their appointments rescheduled as soon as possible. We apologise for the disruption.
