Louise Stead, the Chief Executive at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, said:
“Sadly, we can confirm that two of our patients who were being cared for at Royal Surrey County Hospital, and who had tested positive for COVID-19, have died.
“The patients were aged 99 and 66 years old and both had underlying health conditions.
“Their families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”
