Mr Gallagher studied medicine at Imperial College, London graduating in 2008. During this time he also undertook a BSc in Medical Imaging. After completing his foundation training in the West Midlands Deanery he entered Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in the London/Kent Surrey and Sussex Deanery. He completed RCOG Advanced Training Modules in Urogynaecology and Vaginal Surgery, Benign Gynaecology: open and laparoscopic and Advanced Labour Ward Practice and gained his CCT in 2017. He was awarded places on the prestigious BSGE/Ethicon Advanced Laparoscopy training program and the European Gynaecology Expert Training for Upcoming Professionals held in Rome.
He then undertook a fellowship in urogynaecology with Mr Alex Slack (sub speciality trained urogynaecologist) and a minimal access surgery/endometriosis fellowship with Miss Rebecca Mallick (BSGE endometriosis centre lead). He has numerous publications and has presented at conferences at both national and international level. He joined the Royal Surrey in 2020.
Mr Gallagher runs weekly general antenatal clinics and undertakes regular sessions on delivery suite. He also undertakes a general gynaecology clinic and performs outpatient hysteroscopy. He has an extensive surgical experience and undertakes surgery for prolapse, incontinence, fibroids and endometriosis.
He is also the RCOG College tutor.
