Mr Madhavan is an Oesophagogastric Consultant at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust. He specialises in both benign and malignant upper gastro-intestinal conditions.
He completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Manchester (Keele) and graduated with honours. He completed his post graduate training in the North East and his higher surgical training at the Northern Oesophagogastric Unit at the Royal Victoria Infirmary under Professor SM Griffin. He is a Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.
He has an interest in oesophagogastric cancer and obtained a MD in cancer sciences at Newcastle University. His research was focused on the detection of oesophagogastric cancer using blood tests.
Mr Madhavan has experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. He has an interest in the detection and treatment of early oesophagogastric cancer with endotherapy.
