Qualifications:  MBBS, BSc (Hons), MRCEM, FRCA, PgCert (Periop)

Dr Winterbottom qualified from University College London in 2006 and undertook training in Emergency Medicine and Anaesthesia in London, Brighton, and the South East before joining the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust as a Consultant in 2021.  

He is the departmental Lead for Paediatric Anaesthesia with an enthusiasm for making children and young people’s experience as smooth as possible around the time of their surgery.  

When not at work Dr Winterbottom is outdoors as much as possible (running and biking) and enjoys travel, climbing and camping with his family.
