Qualifications:  MBBS, MD, FRCA

Dr Harsh N Saxena completed his MBBS (1990) at New Delhi University, MD Anaesthesia (1995) at Agra University and Post Doctoral Certificate Course (1996) in Cardiac Anaesthesia at SGPGI, Lucknow, India. He then moved to Belfast (1999) to pursue a Fellowship in Anaesthetics. 

Dr Saxena started his Specialist Training at St. George's School and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2002. He secured his Substantive Consultant job at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust in 2005 with a special interest in Anaesthesia for Head & Neck Surgery. 

Later he became the Clinical Lead for Preoperative Assessment and was involved in establishing the CPET Service at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust. He has recently been instrumental in securing two consecutive HSJ Awards for the trust for his work in Electronic-POA Solution; Lifebox (2023).  

Dr Saxena also directs the EPALS Course annually in the trust. When he is not at work, he enjoys playing tennis and travelling.
