Qualifications:  MBBS, MRCP, FRCA, MD (Res)

Dr Aggarwal has been a consultant anaesthetist at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust since 2018. She qualified in 2005 from Guy’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine. 

Her postgraduate training in Anaesthesia was based at St George’s in London and she completed further specialist training in High-Risk and Major Oncology Anaesthesia at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust. She also has an interest in Quality Improvement and has completed training at the Institute of Healthcare Improvement in Boston, USA and Virginia Mason. 

Dr Aggarwal was awarded her MD (Res) from the University of Surrey in 2023 and her thesis was on Improving Care for Older Patients Undergoing Emergency Surgery; a widespread QI project across 28 hospitals in the South of England. She has worked as a National advisor for NHS England.

She has lectured worldwide and has numerous publications in the field of emergency surgery and ERAS. She is the joint Chief of Service for Surgery, Anaesthetics and Intensive Care at the Royal Surrey.
