Dr Bhavesh Patel is a Consultant Anaesthetist at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in anaesthesia for Head & Neck, Paediatrics and Upper Limb.
He completed an Airway Fellowship in 2005 Perth, Australia and a Paediatric Anaesthesia Fellowship at Great Ormond St. Hospital in 2006. Dr Patel is the current Lead for the Guildford Airway Anaesthesia Fellowship to progress all matters ‘airway’ related since 2009.
He has been awarded DAS-NIAA Project Grants in 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017 and first prize at the World Airway Management Meeting 2015 in Dublin.
Dr Patel is a regular faculty member at various DAS, WAMM, AAGBI, RCOA and Guys airway courses and has contributed as an expert panel member for the DAS 2015 Intubation and DAS Awake Tracheal Intubation guidelines. He was the former Anaesthetic Clinical Director from 2016 to 2021.
