

Consultant in Anaesthesia Intensive Care Medicine
Qualifications: MBBS, BSc (Hons), MRCP, FRCP (Edin), FRCA, FFICM, EDIC
Dr Justin Kirk-Bayley was born at St George’s Hospital, graduated from St George’s Hospital in 1995 and after converting from Physician training to Anaesthesia training spent more time in & around St George’s Hospital, with some additional time spent overseas in Melbourne, Australia. He was appointed as a Consultant in Intensive Care & Anaesthesia in Guildford in 2009. He has a keen interest in Regional Anaesthesia and Medication Safety.
He has been the Clinical Lead for Intensive Care, but is now Deputy Medical Director, Professional Director of Therapeutics and the Clinical Lead for Organ Donation. He is an Internationally recognised trainer in Point of Care Ultrasound and an Examiner for the European Intensive Care Diploma.
He holds a Bronze-level National Clinical Excellence Award and is the Intensive Care Society National Lead for Lung Ultrasound. He keeps himself occupied outside of work with graphic design and has not been back to St George’s Hospital for a very long time.
