

Consultant Anaesthetist
Qualifications: MBBS, FRCA, PgDip (MedEd)
Dr Soumen Sen graduated from Imperial Medical School before completing his Anaesthetic training in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex region. He has a keen interest in Medical Education, having completed a Fellowship in Simulation and a Diploma in Medical Education.
He is a regular faculty member in simulation courses and is a Life Support Course Instructor. Throughout his training he has worked in numerous trainee representation roles at local, regional and national levels. He also worked at the Royal College of Anaesthetists with a key role in the development of the 2021 curriculum, for which he received a President’s Medal.
Dr Sen is currently the Generic Professional Capabilities Hub lead, helping to deliver the new curriculum requirements for Anaesthetic trainees at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust. Outside of medicine, he likes to relax by spending time with his family, supporting Watford Football Club and attending various indie rock gigs.
