Squeaky clean nomination
Thanks to Medirest’s diligent and hard-working domestic team, Royal Surrey has been shortlisted for the Healthcare Cleaning Team of The Year Award category in the National MyCleaning Awards.
Hoping to make a clean sweep, representatives from the team will be attending a live awards ceremony on 22 February.
The team was nominated by Gareth Donaldson, Medirest Operations Director who praised the incredible resilience and commitment of staff, especially during the pandemic.
He said: “All NHS cleaners worked hard during the pandemic, but Royal Surrey staff excelled, displaying incredible dedication. Throughout the pandemic our people worked side by side with clinical staff, delivering for patients.
“More recently we also achieved Exemplar Site Status, as awarded by NHS England, for the early implementation of the National Standards for Cleaning. This is a great team and they deserve to win this award.”
