I left the Services in 2004. My wife and I have both been patients at RSCH. The NHS needs careful management. My experience lies in change and stakeholder management and leadership and good communication. I have also lived and worked in a number of countries.
I am Vice-Chairman of the London VAPC and have run large organisations. International diplomatic appointments have included responsibilities for negotiating healthcare and services provision. I have many contacts to call upon for independent advice.
As a governor of the Trust for more than four years I try to ensure that all funding is used to attain best value for money whilst maintaining a highly skilled, well-motivated and effective workforce to produce the best possible standards of patient care.
