I have a technical and scientific research background, and 25 years commercial experience in the industrial sector. I have worked in the UK, Eastern Europe, North America, Asia and Africa, both in operating companies and during consulting projects. After many years of working for FTSE100 companies in senior leadership roles, I am now running a management consulting firm advising various organisations on business strategy, sales & marketing, M&A and change management. Alongside running my own business, over the last 6years I have been volunteering as a Trustee for a community based charity and as a Business Advisor for Young Enterprise – UK’s leading Enterprise and financial education charity.
Since 2002, I have lived in Long Ditton in Elmbridge with my husband and two teenage children. As any family with kids, we are regular users of the NHS, yet I never knew that Elmbridge was one of the areas covered by Royal Surrey! Since learning more about the hospital, I have enormous respect for the Trust, its pioneering research and innovation, as well as their staff – being rated ‘outstanding for being responsive to people’s needs’ is a clear testament to their commitment.
Becoming a governor of Royal Surrey and playing a role in maintaining that level of service seems like a privilege. I look forward to using my professional experience, skills and abilities to support the Trust in maintaining their focus on values, strategic direction and improving efficiency.
